The History Society has recently received the attendance registers for six cookery classes (that were later labelled 'Cookery, Laundry and Houswifery Duties!) that took place in Usworth schools between 1908 and 1923. These are of great interest because most Usworth school records were destroyed in a fire in 1947. It lists the names and dates of births of girls born between 1896 and 1910
