Martin Stephenson 1961

Martin George Stephenson was born in 1961 to Alfred and Frances Stephenson of Washington Station, and went to the Glebe school and Washington Comprehensive, when he started busking.

He formed The Dainties, a folk/rock/pop band, which performed from 1982 to 1992, and from 2000 onwards.

He married Angela Cape in 1990 but divorced a few years later

In recent years, Martin has returned to Washington from his Scottish home to preform in his home town.
