The North East War Diary 1939-1945 records war-related events that occurred along the east coast from Berwick down to Kingston upon Hull. Washington History Society has extracted those that happened in Washington during those years, and added others not listed when the diary was compiled. We have added some illustrations and a section about bomb shelters and searchlights.

The History Society is very interested in learning of any other war-related events that could be added to this record. Please contact us at washingtonhistorysoc@gmail.com
